Dr Farrukh Seir

Dr Farrukh Seir is a self-taught visual artist with over two decades of sustained practice. His work spans oil, acrylic, and watercolour, exploring memory, emotion, and cultural consciousness through reflective, process-driven painting.

Alongside his personal practice, Dr Seir is the Founder and Director of Gallery 21 Islamabad, an independent contemporary art space fostering dialogue, education, and access to art.

Through Gallery 21, he has collaborated with the Sadequain Foundation (USA), Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi, Alliance Franchise, and Nigah Art Magazine, organizing exhibitions, workshops, and art talks, including programs for children and persons with disabilities.

About Me

My work emerges from lived experience rather than formal instruction. I allow the medium—oil, acrylic, or watercolour—to guide the emotional direction of each painting. Rather than narrating stories directly, my work creates reflective spaces shaped by silence, memory, and inner states. I believe art must remain ethical, inclusive, and connected to society, not confined to elite spaces.
